Emergency Hours and Holidays
We are always open for emergency location requests.
The MISS DIG 811 Notification Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 811 or 1-800-482-7171 to process emergency and non-emergency tickets.
An EMERGENCY is defined as any work that requires locating and staking in less than 3 working days because of lack of facilities, or possible hazard to health, life, or property.
The MISS DIG 811 Business Offices are closed for the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Memorial Day
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve
Emergency work location requests are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
These dates are considered public holidays in the system. Ticket delivery subscriptions configured for "Public Holidays" will be utilized to transmit Emergency and high-priority ticket information to facility owner/operator and contract locator members.
